Vasko Mafilovich

Senior Investment Advisor & Senior Portfolio Manager

“Being able to apply a rigorous fundamental approach when building a portfolio is key to its success.” – Vasko Mafilovich

As a Senior Investment Advisor with over 20 years of experience, and holder of the CFA designation since 1999, Vasko uses a combination of fundamental and technical analysis in the creation of portfolios.

Vasko is licensed in the trading of all asset classes, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and options. In fact, for many clients (not all), options are an integral part of their portfolios: strategies used include selling and buying puts to reduce risk, currency swaps, buying/selling currency options, currency hedging, and the use of conservative covered writing of call options. If options are correctly used, they can lower the risk of a portfolio and provide needed diversification to an overall portfolio strategy.

Services:
As a holder of the CFA designation, Vasko is bound by the CFA Institute’s Standard of Conduct and Code of Ethics. The CFA designation is a globally recognized standard for measuring the competence and integrity of investment professionals.

After working with his clients to determine the optimal objectives and risk, Vasko uses a combination of fundamental and technical analysis in the construction of the client’s portfolio. He uses the CPMS quantitative analysis database (Computerized Portfolio Management Services), Value Line Research, and Morningstar Research in addition to his firm’s own resources and research for fundamental analysis. Overall, the client’s portfolios are subject to a disciplined investment strategy.
