Ross Henderson’s entire career has been centered around a passion for the markets. At the age of 18, he began his career in the financial industry as a desk trader with Pitfield, McKay Ross. In 1982, Ross joined a predecessor firm to Echelon Wealth Partners. In 2024 Echelon formed Ventum Financial, a merger of equals with PI Financial. His aptitude for the dynamic, fast-paced business of trading equities allowed him to become the youngest Senior Trader to work on the floor of the Vancouver Stock Exchange.

In 1989, Ross was able to combine his interest in the markets with his desire to help others: he moved into the retail client-centered side of the industry to become an Investment Advisor and has remained there ever since. Ross specializes in transactional sales and venture capital. For a period, he worked alongside his father, who was a Branch Manager and Investment Advisor at Echelon’s predecessor, and he also worked as the Sales Manager for the firm’s Vancouver branch from 2004 through 2008.

Deeply committed to his community, Ross is a Past Director of Big Brothers and has been a Big Brother himself since 1991. His charitable interests also extend to the welfare of the future generation: he has served as a member on the Finance Committee of B.C. Children’s Hospital and has been a minor league hockey/baseball coach for several years. Ross is married with two sons and enjoys golfing, fishing, music, food, and wine.
